What Recall Weekly is

Recall Weekly is an alert service that aggregates publicly available product recall information from U.S. federal agencies — the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), the United States Department of Agriculture Food Safety and Inspection Service (USDA FSIS), and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) — and emails relevant alerts to subscribers.

No guarantee of completeness or timeliness

We pull data from publicly available agency feeds and do our best to surface every relevant recall. We make no guarantee that our coverage is complete, timely, or error-free. Federal agency feeds occasionally have outages, lag, or classification gaps that we cannot detect. For the authoritative record, always consult the originating agency:

Recall Weekly is a supplement to vigilance, not a replacement. Use it alongside, not instead of, your own judgment and the agencies' own notification channels.

Not medical, legal, or professional advice

Recall Weekly summarizes what federal agencies have published about a recall. We are not your doctor, lawyer, or pediatrician. If a recall mentions a product you use and you're unsure how to act, contact the manufacturer using the consumer contact information in the original agency notice, consult an appropriate professional, or contact the agency directly.

Plain-English translation

We rewrite agency text into plain English to make it easier to act on. The translation may abbreviate, summarize, or restructure the original. Every email links to the agency's original notice. If our text and the original notice ever conflict, the original notice is authoritative.

Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Recall Weekly is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We are not liable for any damages arising from use of the service, including but not limited to damages arising from missed recalls, delayed alerts, classification errors, or data omissions.

Your data

We store your email address and the audience preferences you provide so we can send you relevant alerts. Paid subscribers also store the brands, products, and vehicles they choose to track. We do not sell or share your data with third parties. You can unsubscribe (and have all your data deleted) by replying to any email or by signing in and removing your account from the account page.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Continued use of Recall Weekly constitutes acceptance of the current terms.

Questions? Reply to any Recall Weekly email and we'll get back to you.
