CPSC, Double L Announce Recall of Lighters
Double L Inc., of Charlotte, N.C.
Hazard
These lighters can leak butane when they are ignited, causing an excessive burst of flame. This presents a risk of fire and burn injuries to consumers.
Remedy
Consumers should stop using the lighters immediately and return them to the store where purchased for a full refund.
Sold at
The lighters were sold nationwide at Joann Stores, Family Dollar Stores, Bill Dollar Stores, and Hancock Fabrics, from December 1998 to December 1999, for $1 to $2.

Injuries reported
Double L has received five reports of excessive bursts of flame, resulting in burns to consumers.
