CPSC, Raymond Geddes & Co. Inc. Announce Recall of Velcro Wallets
Raymond Geddes & Co. Inc., of Baltimore, Md.
Hazard
The zipper pull in the wallet contains lead, which can present a risk of lead poisoning to young children.
Remedy
Consumers should immediately take these wallets away from children, and return the wallets to the store where purchased, for a refund.
Sold at
Toy stores nationwide sold these wallets, from August 1998 through April 2001, for about $1.
Affected count
About 55,000
Injuries reported
CPSC and Raymond Geddes & Co. Inc. have not received reports of any injuries relating to these wallets. This recall is being conducted to prevent the possibility of injury.
