Hazard
If the motor is not properly grounded as instructed, the motor could become energized and cause a shock or electrocution hazard, resulting in injury or death.
Remedy
Consumers, with the recalled motor, should unplug it and remove it from service and contact Dayton Motor Hotline for repair information. Notices have been sent to known purchasers.

These motors were sold directly through motor distributors or repair shops, from October 1999 through August 2000, for about $95.
