CPSC, Levi Strauss & Co. Announce Recall of Infant and Toddler Garments

Hazard

Parts from the metal inseam snaps can detach from the garment, posing a choking risk for young children.

Remedy
Consumers should immediately take the garments away from children and contact Levi Strauss & Co. for assistance in determining if the garment is part of this recall. If so, Levi Strauss & Co. will provide instructions on returning the garment postage paid, to receive a full refund.

The garments were sold from March 1999 to March 2001.

Approximately 349,000
Injuries reported
Levi Strauss & Co. has received two reports of snaps detaching on jeans. No injuries have been reported.
