CPSC, Stride Rite Children's Group Inc. Announce Recall of Girls' Shoes
Stride Rite Children's Group Inc., of Lexington, Mass.
Hazard
The buckle on these shoes can break, posing a choking hazard for young children.
Remedy
Consumers should take the shoes away from their children immediately and return the shoes to the store where purchased, for a refund or replacement shoes.
Sold at
Shoe, department and Stride Rite Outlet stores nationwide sold these shoes, from January 2001 through September 2001, for about $25.

Injuries reported
Stride Rite Children's Group has received four reports of the buckle breaking, and one report of a child putting a broken piece of the buckle in her mouth and starting to choke.
