CPSC, LaJobi Industries Announce Recall of Cribs

These cribs have cut-outs in the end panels, that allow young children to get their heads entrapped, resulting in strangulation. The cribs fail to meet CPSC's standards.

Remedy
Firm no longer in business. Recall remedy no longer available. Discard the product. Do not donate or resell.
Sold at
Juvenile specialty stores nationwide sold the cribs, between May 1999 and September 2001, for about $700 for the Molly model and $650 for the Betsy model.

Injuries reported
LaJobi has not received any reports of injuries involving these cribs but in the past there have been deaths reported in other firms' cribs with end panel cut-outs. This recall is being conducted to prevent the possibility of injury.
