CPSC, Dollar Tree Stores Inc. Announce Recall of Drip Pans

Dollar Tree Stores, Inc., of Chesapeake, Va.
Hazard

These drip pans are used under the burners of kitchen ranges to catch food that drips while cooking. The hot burners can ignite the drip pans and pose a fire hazard.

Remedy
Consumers should stop using the drip pans immediately and return them to the store where purchased, for a refund.
Sold at
Dollar Tree Stores sold these drip pans nationwide, from April 2002 to May 2002, for about $1.

Injuries reported
Dollar Tree Stores has received seven reports of the drip pans catching fire. No injuries have been reported.
