CPSC, The Grasshopper Company Announce Recall of Riding Lawn Mowers
The Grasshopper Co.. of Moundridge, Kan.
Hazard
The fuel tank could leak gasoline, posing a fire hazard and risk of burn injuries to consumers.
Remedy
Consumers should stop using the mowers immediately and contact Grasshopper to arrange for installation of a replacement fuel tank, at no charge.
Sold at
Specialty lawn and garden shops sold these riding mowers nationwide, from August 2000 through September 2001, for about $8,000.

Grasshopper has received 11 reports of leaking fuel tanks on these lawnmowers. No injuries have been reported.
