CPSC, L.A. Baby Announce Recall of Folding Little Wood Cribs

L.A. Baby, of Vernon, Calif.
Hazard

The headboard can separate from the corner post. A child's head or neck could be entrapped in the corner space between the post and the mattress.

Remedy
Consumers should stop using these cribs immediately and contact L.A. Baby to receive a free brace repair kit, to prevent an entrapment.
Sold at
L.A. Baby sold the recalled cribs to hotels, daycare centers, and small specialty stores, from March 2001 to October 2001, for about $170.

L.A. Baby has received 9 reports of headboard separations. No injuries have been reported.
