CPSC, Snapper, Inc. Announce Recall of Riding Lawn Mowers

Snapper, Inc., of McDonough, Ga.
Hazard

The side discharge chute is defective. The material used to manufacture the side discharge chute is not strong enough to prevent projectiles from flying out from under the mower deck, exposing consumers and by-standers to possible injuries from flying debris.

Remedy
Consumers should stop using their lawn mowers until the discharge chute has been replaced. Contact a Snapper dealer immediately for a free replacement.
Sold at
Authorized Snapper dealers sold these mowers nationwide, from May 2002 through June 2002, for between $1,099 to $2,699.
