CPSC, Meijer Announce Recall of Three-Tier Tealight Candleholder

Hazard
The middle candleholder is mounted directly below the top candleholder, which can cause the top candle to overheat and flare. This poses a fire hazard, which can result in a burn injury or property damage.
Remedy
Consumers should stop using the candleholder immediately and return it to their local Meijer store for a refund.
Sold at
Meijer stores located in Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky and Illinois sold the candleholders, from May 2002 through October 2002, for about $7.99.

Injuries reported
There have been two incidents of candles flaring. The incidents did not result in injury or property damage. Meijer is recalling the candleholder to prevent injury or property damage.
