CPSC, Michaels Stores, Inc. Announce Recall of Halloween Candleholders

Hazard

Because of the lack of ventilation in these ceramic candleholders, the tealights can flare up, posing a risk of burns to consumers.

Remedy
Consumers should stop using these candleholders immediately and return them to any Michaels store for a refund.
Sold at
Michaels Stores nationwide sold these Halloween candleholders, from July 2003 through October 2003, for about $1.

Injuries reported
Michaels Stores has received eight reports of flare-ups or scorching with these Halloween candleholders. Three consumers reportedly received minor burns to their fingers.
