CPSC, Murray Inc. Announce Recall of Lawn Mowers and Lawn Tractors

Murray, Inc., of Lawrenceburg, Tenn.
Hazard

Plastic components on these lawn mowers and lawn tractors can crack, if they are struck by an object thrown from the blade. Objects can be ejected from the mower unexpectedly and could hit nearby consumers.

Remedy
Consumers should stop using this product immediately and discard or destroy it. The firm is out of business, and a remedy is no longer available.
Sold at
Wal-Mart, Home Depot, and Northern Tool nationwide, from November 2003 through February 2004. The walk-behind mowers sold for between $99 and $368. The riding mowers sold for between $758 and $1,748.
