CPSC, Shivvers Manufacturing Announce Recall of Blower Blades for the Jazee and Jazee One Grass Collection Systems
Shivvers Manufacturing, of Corydon, Iowa
Hazard
The ends of the blades on these Country Clipper riding mowers can break off and become projectiles, leaving the mower deck at a high rate of speed. The recalled blades can break because "slots" in the blade cause metal fatigue.
Remedy
Consumers should stop using the Country Clipper Jazee Lawn Mowers with Grass Collection Systems with the recalled blades immediately. Call the Country Clipper dealer to make an appointment for free replacement of the recalled blades.
Sold at
The recalled blades were sold with grass collection units for Country Clipper Jazee Lawn Mowers nationwide, from September 2003 through May 14, 2004, for between $14 and $17 per blade.
Affected count
