CPSC, First Team Inc. Announce Recall of Basketball Hoops

Hazard

The bolt attaching the arm to the vertical post can break, causing the backboard to fall and injure someone standing below.

Remedy
Consumers should stop using their basketball hoops and contact First Team Customer Service to receive a free repair kit.
Sold at
Internet sales, distributors, and independent retail stores from January 1996 through August 2004 for between $1,000 and $1,800.

First Team received one report of a backboard falling. No injuries were reported.
