CPSC, Walt Disney World Co. Announce Recall of Children's Red Sunglasses
Walt Disney Parks and Resorts, LLC, of Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
Hazard
The paint on the red sunglasses contains high levels of lead. Lead is toxic if ingested by young children and can cause adverse health effects.
Remedy
Consumers should immediately take the recalled red sunglasses away from children and contact Walt Disney World Co. for a free replacement pair of sunglasses and 20 Disney Dollars®.
Sold at
The Disneyland Resort in California, The Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, Disney's Vero Beach Resort in Florida, and the Disney Cruise Line based in Florida, from November 2004 through June 2005, for about $16.
