CPSC, American Suzuki Motor Corporation Announce Recall of 2004 & 2005 Eiger™ and Vinson® ATVs

American Suzuki Motor Corp., of Brea, Calif.
Hazard

Recalled ATVs were assembled with an incorrectly sized mounting bolt under the fuel tank. This could result in fuel leakage, presenting a fire safety hazard and risk of injury or death.

Remedy
Consumers should take their affected ATV to an authorized Suzuki dealership. The dealer will replace the fuel petcock-mounting bolt and sealing washers at no charge to the consumer.

ASMC has not received any reports of incidents. This recall is being conducted to prevent the possibility of injuries.
