CPSC, BJ Alan Co. Announce Recall of Mammoth Smoke Fountain Fireworks

Hazard
The device can unexpectedly propel on the ground or unintentionally explode during use, posing a risk of burn injuries to consumers.
Remedy
Consumers should immediately stop using the product and contact BJ Alan Co. for a replacement product.
Sold at
Fireworks stands and stores nationwidem, from April 2003 through June 2005. The Phantom variety pack sold for about $6 and the Storm Chaser assortment tray sold for about $17.

BJ Alan Co. has received two reports of incidents in which the product propelled on ground or exploded. One incident resulted in a minor burn to a consumer's foot.
