CPSC, King of Fans Inc. Announce Recall of Oil-Filled Radiator Heaters

King of Fans Inc. of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.
Hazard

Welds in the heating fins can break, allowing oil to leak. This poses a burn and fall hazard to consumers.

Remedy
Consumers should immediately stop using these heaters and unplug them. Return the recalled heaters to a Home Depot store for a full refund.
Sold at
The Home Depot stores in the Northeast and Midwest from October 2005 through November 2005 for about $35.

Injuries reported
King of Fans Inc. has received 81 reports of incidents involving leaking oil. Two minor burns were reported, along with two reports of falls in the oil.
