Big Lots Stores Inc. Recalls Tea Light Candles for Fire Hazard
Big Lots Stores Inc., of Columbus, Ohio
Hazard
The recalled candles can burn with a high flame and melt the plastic holders. This poses a fire and a burn hazard to consumers.
Remedy
Consumers should stop using the tea light candles immediately and return them to the nearest Big Lots store for a full refund.
Sold at
Big Lots stores exclusively nationwide from July 2005 through October 2005 for about $1.

About 233,000 sets
Injuries reported
Big Lots and CPSC have received four reports of incidents, three involving minor property damage. No injuries have been reported.
