CPSC, American Public Company Announce Recall of Boys' Hooded Sweatshirts with Drawstrings Sold by J.C. Penney

Hazard

The hooded sweatshirts have drawstrings, posing a strangulation hazard to children.

Remedy
Consumers should remove the drawstring to eliminate the hazard. In addition, J.C. Penney will also notify all known purchasers by mail to remove the drawstring from the sweatshirt.
Sold at
Exclusively through J.C. Penney's Catalog and Web site from June 2005 through August 2005 for about $25.
