CPSC, CFM Corporation Announce Recall of Legacy Propane Infrared Plaque Heaters

Hazard

Carbon monoxide hazard. A non-specification gasket around the heating plaques could allow heater carbon monoxide emissions to leak into the area in which the heater is being used.

Remedy
The firm is no longer in business, and a remedy is no longer available. Consumers should discard or destroy the product.
Sold at
Heating and hardware retailers, and HVAC dealers in the U.S. sold these heaters from September 2005 through November 2005 for between $156 and $290.
Affected count
About 10,200. All recalled heaters have been returned to CFM.
Injuries reported
No injuries or incidents of property damage have been reported.
