Best Buy Co. Inc. Recalls Remote Controls Used With Insignia DVD Players Due to Burn Hazard

Hazard
If the batteries are placed backwards in the remote control with the positive and negative sides improperly switched, overheating can result and present a burn hazard.
Remedy
Consumers should stop using the remote control immediately and contact Best Buy to receive a free replacement remote.
Sold at
Best Buy retail stores nationwide, bestbuy.com and at bestbuybusiness.com from May 2006 through January 2007 for between $80 and $130 with the Insignia 100W DVD Players.
