Ceramic Heaters Recalled By Lasko; Heaters Could Pose A Fire Hazard

The heater's cord can overheat where it enters the base of the unit, which could pose a fire hazard to consumers.

Remedy
Consumers should immediately stop using the heaters and contact Lasko to receive a free replacement heater.
Sold at
Major retailers, home centers and discount department stores nationwide from September 2005 through April 2006 for between $20 and $50.

Injuries reported
Lasko has received 28 reports of failed power cords, including six reports of minor property damage. No injuries have been reported.
