FLOR Inc. Recalls Carpet Tiles Due to Puncture Hazard

Hazard
Pin-like needles can be embedded in the carpet tiles, posing a puncture wound hazard to consumers.
Remedy
Consumers will receive a full refund when the tiles are returned, or free replacement tiles of an equal value. The company is directly notifying those consumers who purchased the affected tiles online or through their catalog.
Sold at
FLOR's Web site, home décor boutiques, and in the firm's catalog nationwide from January 2006 through December 2006 for about $12 per tile.

About 24,000 tiles
Injuries reported
FLOR has received three reports from consumers who have received a puncture, scratch or a small cut from coming into contact with needles in the carpet tiles. None of the injuries required outside medical attention.
