Outerwears Inc. Recalls Filters Used in Fuel Funnels Due to Fire Hazard
Outerwears Inc., of Schoolcraft, Mich.
Hazard
The Funnel Pre-Filters can create a flash when they are removed from the fuel tank posing a fire hazard.
Remedy
Consumers should stop using the funnel pre-filters and contact Outerwears, Inc. to arrange for a full refund.
Sold at
Various off-road and racing retailers nationwide from June 2008 through February 2009 for about $25.

Injuries reported
Outerwears received three reports of flashing when the funnel is removed from the fuel tank following a fueling event. No injuries have been reported.
