Clothing Irons Recalled by Conair Corporation Due to Fire Hazard
Conair Corporation, of Stamford, Conn.
Hazard
The clothing iron can overheat, posing a fire hazard to consumers.
Remedy
Consumers should immediately unplug and stop using the recalled clothing irons and contact Conair to receive a free comparable product.
Sold at
Department and retail stores nationwide from July 2004 through October 2008 for about $50.

About 45,000
Injuries reported
Conair has received three reports of overheating, including two fires resulting in property damage.
