Sherwin-Williams Recalls Purdy Scrapers Due to Laceration Hazard

The recalled scraper's body can break away from the handle when struck against a hard object. This poses a laceration hazard to users.

Remedy
Consumers should stop using the recalled scraper immediately and return it to any Sherwin-Williams store or the place of purchase for a free replacement.
Sold at
Sherwin-Williams Paint stores, Duron Paint stores, MA Bruder Paint stores, United Paint Stores, Norfolk Paint Stores, Mercury Paint Stores, Old Quaker Paint Stores, Flex Bon Paint Stores and Columbia Paint Stores nationwide from February 2009 through June 2009 for about $9.

The firm has received four reports of the scraper's body separating from the handle. There have been no reported injuries.
