Gas Generators Recalled by Sycamore SCS Due to Fire Hazard
Creative Resources, of Louisville, Ky.
Hazard
A plastic sediment cup attached to the bottom of the fuel valve can crack during shipping and handling and cause fuel leakage or spillage, posing a fire hazard to consumers.
Remedy
Consumers should stop using the recalled generators immediately and contact Sycamore SCS for a free replacement sediment cup. All known consumers have been notified.
Sold at
Various dealers and stores in Indiana, Kentucky, Louisiana, Oregon, Texas, and Washington between May 2008 and October 2008 for between $940 and $2,340.

Sycamore SCS has received nine reports of generators leaking. No injuries or property damage have been reported.
