Lumetique Recalls Botanika Candles Due to Fire and Laceration Hazards
Southern California Candle Co. Inc., of Los Angeles, Calif.
Hazard
The candle flame can unexpectedly flare up and the glass container can crack, posing fire, burn and laceration hazards to consumers.
Remedy
Consumers should immediately stop using the candle and contact Lumetique to receive a full credit toward the purchase of a DayNa Decker brand product.
Sold at
Resorts, spas, gift shops and specialty stores nationwide from November 2009 through January 2010 for between $30 and $75, depending on the size.

Injuries reported
The firm has received five reports of the glass breaking and six reports of high flames. No injuries or property damage have been reported.
