Bed Bath & Beyond Recalls Solar Lighted Cantilever Umbrellas Due to Injury Hazard

Hazard

A plastic connector which attaches to the arm of the umbrella can break, causing the umbrella to collapse. This poses a risk of injury to the user.

Remedy
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled product and return it to any Bed Bath & Beyond location for a full refund.
Sold at
Bed Bath and Beyond stores and online at www.bedbathandbeyond.com and www.bedbathandbeyond.ca from February 2010 through June 2010 for about $300.

Injuries reported
The firm has received 21 reports of units collapsing. Minor injuries were reported in three of those incidents including a bruise, abrasion and nausea.
