FLO Cycling Recalls Rim Tape Due to Fall Hazard

The rim tape can fail and break under pressure. When this happens, the inner tube of the bicycle can puncture or burst. This poses a fall hazard to the rider.

Remedy
Consumers should contact FLO Cycling to receive a $5 refund for each wheel purchased. The firm is contacting consumers who purchased wheels with the recalled rim tape directly.
Sold at
FLO Cycling's website from May 2012 through July 2012 with the purchase of FLO wheels. The wheels cost between $375 and $700.

The firm has received four reports of exploding inner tubes and flat tires. No injuries were reported.
