Lea Industries Recalls Lighted Night Stands Due to Burn Hazard

Hazard
The light fixture under the night stand can overheat and scorch carpet, posing a burn hazard.
Remedy
Consumers should immediately unplug the night stand light from the outlet and contact Lea Industries to arrange for a free repair and a $50 gift card. Only night stands with a light fixture are included in this recall.
Sold at
Furnitureland South and other major furniture stores nationwide and online at Hayneedle.com and others from March 2013 through April 2014 for about $350.

About 500 in the United States and 20 in Canada
Injuries reported
The firm has received three reports of the lighting fixtures underneath the night stands overheating and scorching carpets. No injuries have been reported.
