Trek Recalls Superfly Bicycles Due to Fall Hazard; Seatpost Can Crack and Break
Trek Bicycle Corporation, of Waterloo, Wis.
Hazard
The seatpost can crack and break, posing a fall hazard to the rider.
Remedy
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled bicycles and contact an authorized Trek retailer for a free replacement seatpost plus a $20 coupon toward any Bontrager merchandise. The coupon can be used through December 31, 2015.
Sold at
Bicycle stores nationwide from September 2014 through July 2015 for about $5,300 for the FS SL and about $3,500 for the X1 and XT bicycles.

Trek has received two incidents report involving the recalled bicycles. No injuries have been reported.
