GE Lighting Recalls High-Intensity LED Replacement Lamps Due to Impact Hazard

The lamp can separate from its base and fall onto consumers below, posing an impact hazard.

Remedy
Consumers should immediately contact GE Lighting for a free repair kit and installation guide.
Sold at
GE Lighting authorized dealers and electrical distributors nationwide, including Crescent Electric Supply Company, Graybar and W.W. Grainger Industrial Supply from September 2015 through December 2015 for between $250 and $300.

About 35,000 (in addition, about 500 were sold in Mexico)
Injuries reported
The firm has received four reports of the lamp separating from the lamp base. No injuries or property damage have been reported.
