Black Diamond Recalls Nylon Runners Due to Fall Hazard

Hazard
A nylon runner with a tape splice (two cut ends joined by masking tape) will fail in normal use, posing a risk of death or injury due to a fall.
Remedy
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled nylon runners, inspect for the presence of a tape splice and contact Black Diamond for instructions on obtaining a free replacement nylon runner.
Sold at
Eastern Mountain Sports, Hansen Mountaineering, The Gear Coop, Peak Experiences Inc., REI and other specialty outdoor stores nationwide and online at Backcountry.com and BlackDiamond.com from January 2014 through February 2016 for between $5 and $9.
