LG Electronics Recalls Portable Air Conditioners Due to Fire Hazard

Hazard
The portable air conditioners can overheat, posing a risk of fire.
Remedy
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled portable air conditioners and contact LG to schedule a free repair at an authorized service center.
Sold at
Home Depot and other stores nationwide from February 2011 through August 2016 for between $250 and $280.

About 466,000 (In addition, 36,000 were sold in Canada)
Injuries reported
The firm has received four reports of fires that have caused $380,000 in property damage. No injuries have been reported.
