Scepter B62 fuel containers recalled for flash fire risk

Scepter B62 dual-chamber fuel containers lack safety devices required by law to prevent flash fires and have spouts that are not child-resistant. These defects pose risks of serious burns, poisoning, and death, especially to children.

Stop using the fuel containers immediately.
Keep the containers out of reach of children.

Hazard

The recalled fuel containers violate the mandatory safety standards for portable fuel containers because they lack flame mitigation devices required under the Portable Fuel Container Safety Act, posing a deadly risk of flash fire. In addition, the Children's Gasoline Burn Prevention Act requires all closures on portable gasoline fuel containers to be child resistant. The spout on the product is not child-resistant, posing a risk of burn and poisoning to children.

Remedy

Consumers should immediately stop using the fuel containers, place them out of reach of children, and contact Pro Recycle to return the product free of charge for a full refund.
