What this means
Blue Wave above-ground pools 48 inches and taller have a compression strap around the outside of the pool legs that can act as a foothold, allowing children to climb into the pool unsupervised. This creates a serious drowning risk. The strap can provide access to the pool even if you remove the ladder.
- Do not allow children near the pool without constant supervision
- Drain the pool until Blue Wave provides a repair kit, or contact Blue Wave for a free repair kit
- Remove the ladder as a temporary precaution, but know this alone does not prevent access
- Check your pool model number (on the original box, manual, or liner) against the recall list to confirm it is affected
