Stop using your Blue Wave pool

Blue Wave above-ground pools 48 inches and taller have a compression strap around the outside of the pool legs that can act as a foothold, allowing children to climb into the pool unsupervised. This creates a serious drowning risk. The strap can provide access to the pool even if you remove the ladder.

  • Do not allow children near the pool without constant supervision
  • Drain the pool until Blue Wave provides a repair kit, or contact Blue Wave for a free repair kit
  • Remove the ladder as a temporary precaution, but know this alone does not prevent access
  • Check your pool model number (on the original box, manual, or liner) against the recall list to confirm it is affected

The compression strap that surrounds the outside of the pool legs may create a foothold, allowing a child access to the pool, posing a drowning risk.

Remedy
Consumers should contact Blue Wave to request a free repair kit. In the interim, consumers should ensure that children cannot access the pool unattended or, alternatively, drain the pool until the repair can be installed.

The Home Depot, Lowe's, and Dunham's Sports retail stores nationwide and online at Amazon.com, Walmart.com, Wayfair.com from January 2021 through July 2025 for between $600 and $2,000 depending on the size and model of the pool and accessories purchased.
