Ruahouine Hair Growth Serum recalled for unsafe packaging; minoxidil poisoning risk to children
Secure Ruahouine Hair Growth Serum away from children
Ruahouine Hair Growth Serum bottles contain minoxidil, a powerful chemical that can cause serious poisoning if swallowed. The bottles do not have child-resistant caps as required by law, making it easy for young children to open and ingest the contents. About 25,000 bottles were sold on Amazon between January and July 2025.
- Immediately move the bottle to a secure location out of children's sight and reach.
- Email ruahouine@gmail.com to request a refund or replacement with proper packaging.
- Follow their instructions: pour contents into trash, photograph the empty bottle in the trash, and email the photo to ruahouine@gmail.com.
- Keep the bottle away from children until it is properly destroyed.

The serum bottles contain minoxidil, which must be in child-resistant packaging, as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. The serum's packaging is not child-resistant, posing a risk of serious injury or death from poisoning if the contents are swallowed by young children.
