Frigidaire minifridge models EFMIS121, EFMIS129, EFMIS137, EFMIS149, EFMIS175 recalled for fire and burn hazards
Stop using recalled Frigidaire minifridges immediately
Frigidaire-brand minifridges sold at Target can overheat and catch fire due to faulty electrical components. Curtis International has received six reports of fires in the EFMIS121 model, with property damage. The recall now includes about 330,000 additional units across five model numbers.
- Stop using the minifridge immediately and unplug it from the wall.
- Cut the power cord with scissors or a utility knife.
- Write "Recall" on the front door with a permanent marker.
- Register for a refund at www.recallrtr.com/minifridge.
- Dispose of the unit following local and state regulations for electronic waste.

Hazard
The minifridges' internal electrical components can short circuit and ignite the surrounding plastic housing, posing fire and burn hazards.
Remedy
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled minifridges and follow the instructions to register for a refund at www.recallrtr.com/minifridge. Consumers should unplug and cut the power cord and write "Recall" using a permanent marker on the front door of the unit. Consumers should dispose of the recalled minifridges in accordance with local and state regulations.

Sold exclusively at Target stores nationwide and online at Target.com from January 2020 through October 2023 for around $30.
