Sunneday and Blue Bay above-ground pools recalled for drowning hazard from compression strap footholds
DROWNINGNationwide distribution
Stop using Sunneday and Blue Bay pools
Certain Sunneday and Blue Bay above-ground pools have a compression strap around the outside that can create a foothold, potentially allowing children to climb into the pool unsupervised. This drowning risk exists even if the ladder is removed. No injuries have been reported.
- Check if your pool matches one of the recalled models listed on the CPSC website
- Contact Starmatrix Group for a free repair kit
- Until repairs are installed, keep children away from the pool or drain it completely
- Remove the pool ladder and supervise constantly if the pool remains filled
