Lotus Joy Sweet Birch Essential Oil recalled for lack of child-resistant packaging
Stop using Lotus Joy Sweet Birch Essential Oil
Lotus Joy Organic Sweet Birch Essential Oil bottles do not have child-resistant caps, even though the product contains methyl salicylate—a toxic substance if swallowed. Young children can easily open these bottles and drink the contents, which can cause serious poisoning or death.
- Put the bottle where children cannot reach it right away.
- Contact Zan International Trading at zantradellc@hotmail.com for a refund.
- Pour the oil into the trash, take a photo of the bottle in the trash, and email the photo to zantradellc@hotmail.com.
- Do not use the product.

The essential oil bottles contain methyl salicylate, which must be in child-resistant packaging, as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act (PPPA). The bottles are not child-resistant, posing a risk of poisoning if the contents are swallowed by young children.
