Organic Zing Birch Essential Oil recalled for lack of child-resistant packaging; poisoning risk

Secure Organic Zing Birch Oil away from children immediately

Organic Zing Birch Essential Oil bottles sold on Amazon do not have child-resistant caps as required by law. The oil contains methyl salicylate, which can cause serious poisoning if a young child swallows it. About 940 bottles were sold between January 2024 and November 2025.

  • Move the bottle out of sight and reach of children right away
  • Contact Linkers at admin@linkersecomm.com for a refund and disposal instructions
  • Pour the contents into the trash and photograph the empty bottle as instructed

The essential oil bottles contain methyl salicylate, which must be in child-resistant packaging, as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act (PPPA). The bottles for the products are not child resistant, posing a risk of poisoning if the contents are swallowed by young children.

Remedy
Consumers should immediately secure the recalled essential oil bottles out of the sight and reach of children and contact Linkers for a full refund and instructions on destroying the recalled bottles. Consumers will be asked to pour the contents of the bottle into the trash and email a photo of the disposed bottle to admin@linkersecomm.com.
