Sangohe adult portable bed rails recalled for entrapment and asphyxiation hazard
Stop using Sangohe bed rails model 504E or 504Q
Sangohe portable bed rails (models 504E and 504Q) can trap users between the rail and mattress, creating a serious risk of injury or death by asphyxiation. The rails also lack required warning labels. About 36,500 units were sold online starting August 2023.
- Stop using the bed rail immediately.
- Cut the foam padding on the handrails and mark both upper and lower rails with 'RECALLED' in permanent marker.
- Take a photo of the destroyed rails and email it to SGHproductrecall@163.com.
- Contact Sangohe for a full refund.

The recalled bed rails violate the mandatory standard for adult portable bed rails because users can become entrapped within the bed rail or between the bed rail and the side of the mattress, posing a serious entrapment hazard and risk of death by asphyxiation. In addition, the bed rails do not bear the required warning labels.
