Fisher & Paykel professional gas ranges recalled for delayed oven ignition burn hazard
Stop using oven in Fisher & Paykel gas range
Fisher & Paykel professional gas ranges (RGV3 models) can experience delayed ignition in the oven, causing gas to build up. When ignition finally occurs, the oven door may open forcefully from the combustion, creating a burn hazard. The company has received 18 reports of this problem and one report of a minor burn injury.
- Stop using the oven immediately. Cooktop burners are safe to use.
- Find your model and serial number on the rating plate (back of range or behind kick strip).
- Contact Fisher & Paykel for a free professional in-home repair of the oven ignitor.
- Do not attempt to repair the oven yourself.
