Tzumi FitRx SmartBell adjustable dumbbells recalled for weight plate dislodging hazard
Stop using Tzumi FitRx SmartBell dumbbells
Weight plates can unexpectedly come loose from Tzumi FitRx SmartBell adjustable dumbbells during use, creating a serious falling-weight hazard. More than 115 cases of plates dislodging have been reported, resulting in at least six injuries including broken toes and cuts. The recall affects model 8361 dumbbells (5–52.5 lbs) sold at Walmart from January through November 2024.
- Stop using the dumbbell immediately.
- Go to https://myfitrx.com/recall-52-lbs/ to register your dumbbell and arrange a free replacement.
- Mark the storage tray with "Recalled" using permanent marker or spray paint before disposal.
- Contact Tzumi Electronics directly if you have questions about the replacement process.

Remedy
Consumers should immediately stop using the adjustable dumbbell and contact Tzumi Electronics for a free replacement of the dumbbell and tray. Consumers should write the word "Recalled" across the dumbbell tray using permanent spray paint or marker, register at https://myfitrx.com/recall-52-lbs/ and dispose of the product after registration is confirmed.
