Tiyol Pull String Teething Toy recalled for choking risk
The Tiyol Pull String Teething Toy has silicone strings that are longer and smaller than safety rules allow. These strings can reach the back of a child's throat and become stuck, creating a serious choking hazard. The CPSC has received reports of 11 choking incidents.
- Stop letting children use this toy immediately.
- Contact ZW Creations at https://tiyol-recall.com for a free replacement.
- Cut off all silicone string tentacles, mark the toy "RECALLED" with permanent marker, and submit a photo of the destroyed product online.
- If your child has swallowed a string or has difficulty breathing, call 911 or Poison Control at 1-800-222-1222.

The recalled teething toys violate the mandatory standard for toys because the silicone strings are smaller and longer than permitted. The silicone strings can reach the back of the throat and become lodged, posing a risk of respiratory distress and becoming a deadly choking hazard.
