Junpower CR2032 coin batteries recalled for child poisoning risk
Junpower CR2032 lithium coin batteries sold on Amazon lack the child-resistant packaging and warning labels required by federal law. If swallowed, these batteries can cause serious internal injuries or death. About 67,000 units were sold between December 2023 and September 2024.
- Stop using the recalled batteries immediately.
- Move them to a place children cannot reach.
- Visit https://www.cognitoforms.com/Junpower2032/recall to register for a free replacement.
- Mark the product with permanent marker (date, initials, and 'Recalled'), take a photo, and submit it as instructed.
- Dispose of the batteries following your local hazardous waste procedures.

The lithium coin batteries are not sold in child-resistant packaging and do not bear the warning labels as required under Reese's Law. When button cell or coin batteries are swallowed, the ingested batteries can cause serious injuries, including internal chemical burns and death.
